Blackdown - A Day As A Cadet, 2019

Sometimes when you throw a young person in with the sharks they come out not only holding their own but surprising the 'teacher' who chucked them in. That is the case with this new video by our Padawan Tiffany Scott, who far exceeded the expectations of her teacher, Five Points Media Producer, John Ironside.

This is not Tiffany's first solo venture since joining our team, but it is the first that she did entirely on her own. In her other video, about foster dog Nikki looking for a home, the young documentary producer in training was accompanied by her teacher and left more or less to her own devices with guidance. In this situation, she was dropped off at Camp Blackdown, CFB Borden and asked to call for her ride home when she was done. She shot every frame, and she cut this together all on her own, with only minor training in colour correction which takes anyone a while to understand.

We think the 23-year-old did a great job. If you think likewise, please make a comment to encourage her future work.

Thank you to Blackdown Cadets, the officers, personnel, instructors, and support staff who helped Tiffany to make this very good short video about the benefits and training of the Canadian Armed Forces Cadets Canada.
