Barrie Police Service Polar Plunge, 2020 March 13, 2020 Barrie Police Chief Kimberley Greenwood was the first to take the plunge on Saturday, March 7, as an active participant in the 2020 Polar Plunge held in support of Special Olympics hosted by the Barrie Police Service. About 70 other polar plungers followed her into the icy cold waters of Kempenfelt Bay, including two Special Olympics athletes.
