Barrie Community Tree Planting
They could not have asked for nicer weather when Living Green Barrie joined forces with the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority - LSRCA and the Conservation Foundation to host the Barrie Community Tree Planting at the Sandy Hollow Disc Golf field beside the landfill in Barrie.
About a hundred individuals and families registered to help plant 300 trees of various kinds that will provide a windbreak and improve our city's urban canopy. We spoke with organizers and with Barrie-Innisfill MPP Andrea Khanjin, who mucked in to plant a few trees with help from one of her staff.
