Barrie Public Library Comicon Promo, 2019
The Barrie Public Library's BPL Comic Con® is once again ready to introduce Barrie residence to the wonders and pleasures of nerd life, geeksdom, and cosplay ;-)
This is in fact an amazing event focused on inspiring impressionable youth to pick up a book and read. Kids can choose from Dr. Who to the Avengers, it doesn't really matter, just as long as they get into the habit of reading.
The annual event, being held on September 21, 2019, features seminars, photo ops, meet and greets, movies, cosplay, competitions, games, and other features.
This year, the Barrie Comic-Con is joining forces with Game On! video games event which is being held by the The City of Barrie at Five Points Theatre, and also Candlelighters Simcoe, Parents of Children with Cancer who are holding their annual Superhero Stomp on the same day. As Comic-Con ends the Stomp begins, so we hope to see some crossover participation.
Our crew at the OCANetwork, also known as Five Points Media, will be covering all of these events (breath, just breath) all in one day, so don't expect to book us on Sunday ;-)
