Uplift Black Youth Simcoe County, 2020
The Uplift Black - Youth Project is intended to boost the lives of Black youth in our community by supporting their dreams and helping them to have all of the opportunities to be all they can be. Shelly Skinner, a self-identified local activist, and Courtney Peters, a long-time resident of Barrie, joined forces with Shak's World, a local youth group, and Making Change Across Simcoe County to seek support and donations of all kinds from the community. For more information, please email activistshelly@gmail.com
We would like to thank the following sponsors of the Ontario Community Awareness Network. These businesses show they care about our shared community by helping us to provide a locally-focused truly local voice to you and your neighbours. They also enable our crew to be able to continue providing donated services to promote local benevolent community groups and charities based in The City of Barrie, the Town of Innisfil, and the Township of Oro-Medonte.
