Barrie Colts Step Up for Brainstorm Revolution and RVH Mental Health Services, 2020
The Barrie Colts (Barrie Colts Official Facebook Page) stepped up to center ice before the game on Thursday, February 27th to donate $5000.00 to Brainstorm Revolution in support of Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre Foundation Mental Health and Addictions services.
The donation was the result of efforts by City Councillor Natalie Harris, Heather Ann Down, and Shelley Roberts-Hofer, who together raise funds for various charities. Earlier this month, they held a comedy night fundraiser for which they donated to us tickets for a draw.
Much to their surprise, players of the Barrie Colts also presented to the three women cards they had made for an ongoing project through which those suffering from addiction are shown that people do truly care about them.
We would like to thank the following sponsors of the Ontario Community Awareness Network. These businesses show they care about our shared community by helping us to provide a locally-focused truly local voice to you and your neighbours. They also enable our crew to be able to continue providing donated services to promote local benevolent community groups and charities based in The City of Barrie, the Town of Innisfil, and the Township of Oro-Medonte.
