Community Give and Get enters McDougall Family Fund contest 2019
Frank Nelson was a man of great compassion and vision. He was also a very dear personal friend. During the last six years of his life, after being diagnosed with colon cancer, this selfless man engaged in a mission to help others and to improve the lives of thousands of people he did not know.
In addition to raising and donating tens of thousands of dollars for needy families and individuals, Frank also opened the Glowing Hearts Community Give & Get Centre - Barrie, through which those in need can receive clothing, household items, toys, shoes and other items, all for free.
A couple of weeks ago, Frank’s daughter, Cindy Thompson, went public with a plea for help, as the Give and Get is experiencing financial difficulties and is facing potential closure. As part of their pitch to save it, we were asked to produce a short video for the McDougall Family Fund 2019 contest. More information can be found at https://www.mcdougallinsurance.com/2019/04/03/mcdougall-family-fund-2019
If they win, the prize of $5,000.00 will certainly help, but it will not solve all the issues currently outstanding. Now the Community Give and Get needs all our help to spread the word and help raise funds so they can continue their good work. PLEASE share this video to help them. Liking is nice, but SHARING enables many more people to see it.
We miss you Frank.
