'The Five Points' a documentary play by Theatre by the Bay
'The Five Points' is a documentary play by Theatre by the Bay
being performed at The Mady Centre for the Performing Arts in Barrie
A new play has started at The Mady Centre for the Performing Arts about the downtown culture of Barrie, and it is coincidentally entitled "The Five Points". (No relation, just friends :)
The reason we are reporting on this play is that it is a documentary style production based verbatim on the words of some of our city's most interesting people; ranging from business people to the homeless, from sex workers to a city councillor, and from a strip club bouncer to a music promoter. The play also has a very strong social message . . . which you can learn about through this short video we produced about the production. The play, produced by Theatre by the Bay, is showing until July 29, 2017.
