The ‘Walk A Mile’ fund-raiser for the Women and Children’s Shelter of Barrie is one of their most important days of the year. It is a combination of community involvement, support for women, and comic relief, as for one day men try to walk in women’s shoes.
Often very large women’s shoes!!
A problem developed, however, as some men were not physically able to walk in high heels and participation was waning. So, the Shelter came up with an idea to allow men to walk the walk, and not just talk the talk, by wearing whatever shoes they felt comfortable in. This is the animated video we came up with to assist the Shelter in communicating that message. Special thanks to Sarah Davis and James Tucket for their contributions.
Stilettos, pumps, sling backs, or crocs; no matter the shoe, the choice to help is up to you.
