COVID-19 - Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre unveils the Pandemic Response Unit, 2020
Our the OCANetwork, also known as Five Points Media, Producer, John Ironside, recently travelled to the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre to speak with Janice Skot, President and Chief Executive Officer, about the new all-weather and sealed 'Pandemic Response Unit' that is being built in the former volunteer parking lot outside the non-emergency Simcoe doors to the complex.
For reasons of possible contamination, access to the interior was restricted to photos provided by RVH. However, we learned a lot about the purpose and intent of the new unit, the plans for the expected second wave of Coronavirus coming in late 2020, and other issues pertinent to COVID-19 and how it will affect life in Simcoe County during the next year to 24 months.
We would like to thank the following sponsors of the Ontario Community Awareness Network. These businesses show they care about our shared community by helping us to provide a locally-focused truly local voice to you and your neighbours. They also enable our crew to be able to continue providing donated services to promote local benevolent community groups and charities based in The City of Barrie, the Town of Innisfil, and the Township of Oro-Medonte.
