Trials and Triumph Promo - First assisted team to enter Barrie Triathlon
Those who are not driven enough to start their fitness plan might become motivated when they see our story about Heather and Trevor Morgan.
This couple from Barrie has faced a lot of struggles, but now despite a crippling medical condition that restricts Heather to a wheelchair, the dynamic duo has entered themselves as contestants in the upcoming Barrie Triathlon.
As an Assisted Team entry, Trevor will swim 700 meters across part of Kempenfelt Bay, then bike 20 km, and then run 5 km, all while pushing or pulling Heather in her customized sports wheelchair.
This is the first time an Assisted Team has entered the Barrie Triathlon, and the couple hope to inspire others, both disabled and not, to see that life is about pushing your limits and doing what you know can be done.
Our team from the OCANetwork, also known as Five Points Media, will be recording Heather and Trevor when they compete in the triathlon this coming Sunday, August 12, 2018.
If you would like to help Heather and Trevor, they have opened a fundraising page at https://www.gofundme.com/accessible-racing-poweredbyloveca
