On Saturday, May 13th, 2023, our crew was at the "Go The Distance" fundraiser event held by the Tyler Robinson Foundation at Springwater Provincial Park. The event managed to raise over $20,000 in support for families who have a child fighting cancer. Organizers saw hundreds of participants of all ages riding stationary bikes for 10-minute relays as they attempted to ride further and faster than the other teams that were there.

The TRF provides financial support for families when a child is stricken with cancer. When a child is diagnosed and admitted into a hospital for treatment, one parent has to become a full-time representative and care provider, meaning they usually have to give up their job. This of course puts a strain on the family financially. The TRF helps with mortgage or rent payments, car loan payments, and other expenses in order to help ensure the family does not fall heavily into debt due to the diagnosis.
