Heroes With Hearts, 2020
Veterans often sacrifice everything for their country, and it does not have to mean that they are killed or even wounded in battle. Many come home with psychological, spiritual, and emotional scars nobody else can see. The Royal Canadian Legion - National Headquarters was created to provide those men and women who have served our country with a place where they can relax, decompress, and meet with others who understand.
The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 499 in Angus takes the idea of giving back one big step further by running fundraisers for local charities. Our crew was invited to one such event on Saturday, November 7th, by our good friends at Assisting You Social, where much-needed contributions were made to Youth Haven Canada and Christmas Cheer Barrie.
We would like to thank the following sponsors of the Ontario Community Awareness Network. These businesses show they care about our shared community by helping us to provide a locally-focused truly local voice to you and your neighbours. They also enable our crew to be able to continue providing donated services to promote local benevolent community groups and charities based in The City of Barrie, the Town of Innisfil, and the Township of Oro-Medonte.
