Last week, our Producer, John Ironside met with Karen R Macintosh of KARIT.ca to discuss her new venture of selling and donating cloth masks to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. While there, we also recorded a short piece about a peaceful demonstration she was planning with local small business owners who want to express their concerns to all levels of government. All concerned business owners in the area are welcome, and all COVID-19 related laws pertaining to social distancing etc. will be obeyed.

Those who are interested in showing support are asked to meet at Georgian Mall at 5:00 pm on Monday, April 20, 2020. If you can, please decorate your cars and bring signs.

An open invitation is being sent out to Mayor Jeff Lehman, all member of Barrie City Council, MPPs Doug Downey and Andrea Khanjin, and MPs John Brassard - Member of Parliament Barrie-Innisfil and Doug Shipley.
