National HIV Testing Day Held At Barrie City Hall
For the first time ever, on Thursday, June 27, 2019, Barrie citizens and groups took part in the National HIV Testing Day.
The event was held at City Hall and hosted by the Gilbert Centre. Deputy Mayor Barry Ward and Councillors Natalie Harris and Keenan Aylwin were in attendance for the event which featured a proclamation from Mayor Jeff Lehman, a flag raising, and multiple booths through which various groups distributed information. Most importantly, confidential testing for the virus was being undertaken on site by medical professionals.
Our featured sponsor is Still Moving Osteopathy, where Dr. Kayte Armstrong provides relief for various kinds of pain and mobility issues to not only people but also pets and horses. In addition to being a fully certified Osteopath, Kayte is also a veterinarian who brings with her 22 years of experience in both large and small animal care.
